Understanding points, VIP tiers and what actually earns rewards
LoongBuy's rewards can look like a wall of numbers. Here's the mental model that makes it simple: you pay shipping, that builds growth value, growth value sets your tier, and your tier makes future shipping cheaper. Points ride along on top.
The one thing that drives your tier
Your VIP tier (V0–V6) is based on growth value, which you earn mainly by paying international shipping and service fees on completed parcels over a rolling 12 months. Item cost, domestic shipping and coupon-discounted amounts don't count, and refunds claw growth value back.
Points vs growth value
- Points are a spendable currency — earn from sign-up, check-in, shipping and sharing; redeem for shipping discounts or coupons. They expire after about a year.
- Growth value is a status meter — you don't spend it; it decides your tier and therefore your ongoing shipping discount and points multiplier.
Small habits that add up: check in daily, redeem points before a big parcel (so the discount lands where shipping is highest), and keep orders dispute-free so nothing gets clawed back.
What this means for you. Don't chase tiers — they follow naturally as you ship. Do spend points before they expire, and remember discounts apply to international shipping, not service or domestic fees. Confirm your current tier and thresholds in the app.
